Japanese Kintsugi "style" vases
Here you will find a collection of my Japanese Kintsugi "style" vases. These little beauties were firstly hand thrown on the mini pottery wheel, then "bisque" fired overnight. Then they were glazed with various glazes, and then fired for a second time. Then finally, the gold or silver glaze was hand painted on to form "organic" lines on the body of each vase. They were then fired for a third time at a different temperature. They do take time to produce, but it's always a joy to see the end products as the kiln lid is opened for the last time!
